Studying

Valborg in Uppsala, and I'm starting the day with writing an internal assessment in economics. Hmm, it doesn't really go hand in hand many might say...^^

However for me it's OK, because the sooner I'm finished, the sooner I can feel free to enjoy the rest of the day with lovely friends. ♥

I'm a smart girl...

I am so incredible amazing folks. I've had my new little baby netbook for three days, but still I've managed to mess something up and now internet is not working! Smart of me, huh? Gosh, I think I have to marry an IT expert so I don't have to feel so bad about my own extraordinary computer skills (in destroying the computer that is...)

But besides this "Sandra-clicking-on-a-random-button-before-realizing-her-mistake" incident, the day has been pretty good. The sun was shining almost the entire day, so I decided to have a coffee date/lunch with my precious sister at Café Linné Hörnan.

I had a brownie with vanilla ice-cream; it is really good...if you're in to chocolate that is! ^^

With that I had a BIG cup (almost too big) with hot chocolate topped with whipped cream.

As you can see, I enjoyed the chocolate. Haha...

Good morning!

Usually I never blog this early, but since I am just wasting time doing nothing (!?) right now, I figured why not? Tonight I am working at Minnas kvällscafé as a volunteer, like I usually do every second Monday, so I'll probably won't be home until 8 pm....Hmm. ^^ Actually I have tonnes of stuff to do, but since I skipped the last time due to homework, I can't do it again. That would be too much, especially for me who always attends things I'm suppose to attend.

Woopsi, look at the time. I better get off to school!

Need longer Saturdays

How come time never seems to be enough? ^^

Today I've been studying economics with Maria and Jasmine (not that I got that much done though, I've realized that I study best at home), had my first outdoor fika (= the Swedish word for having coffee and cake), and last but not least, I've been out shopping. So, how come it feels like I have established much more less than I expected? :/

Haiiis, I suppose Sundays are just doomed to be the day when everything is being done in a panicking speed while wondering where the Saturday disappeared...

I think I am seriously getting old (or maybe just losing a few brain cells for studying too much), but if my memory is right this time, I was on a cruise exactly two weeks ago, and it just struck me now that I promised to post pictures from it! So even though it was a while ago, here they are…tihi. ^^

A joke?

Moving

I am not technically moving, but it sure feels like that when we've started preparing ourselves for the upcoming renovation of our apartment in May. I've spent so much time carrying around boxes and bags up and down the stairs, that I have had no time, nor strength, to do anything besides sleeping and eating. Haha, it sounds like the things you do when you are on holiday, but I assure you: this was definitely not a holiday...Thursday's session was the worst one, since we spent a total of nine hours sorting out all of the things that we will to give to charity, and the things we will keep/ throw. Puuh, that was a lot of work!

However, when the worst preparations are done for now, I have time for other things - like Kattemusikalen (my school's own musical), which I have tickets for tonight. And maybe I will even have time for an episode of Vampire Diaries or two before that, that is if I have finished my homework by then...-.-

Sigh...

Yesterday's attempt of being able to jump up and down without hurting myself was all in vain. As a consequence, I now I have to endure a week (I am sure) of not being able to walk properly. Sigh, sigh, Sandra.

Luckily I could still manage to got to school, and this was Today's dress-for-success: a trenchcoat from VILA, jeans leggins from Lindex, sneakers from Adidas, and aviator shades from H&M.

Back again

Hey, I'm back!

Or actually I was two days ago, but since I've been to lazy and too busy having deep discussions about our family's future plans, I haven't kept this blog as updated as I would have liked it to be. Nevertheless, I am here now and I can say that the cruise was as lovely as expected. Besides choosing the wrong pair of heels to bring with me (a size too big), which caused me to walk around like a drunkard half the night, everything was great. And I even got to see my Joel Kinnaman look-a-like! :D (A guy working there which I saw last time too.)

Vicki's friend a.k.a. their own photographer (and she totally looks like one too!) took a lot of pictures, but since she haven't sent them yet I only have one picture of me and mami so far (taken with my phone). But more will come later.

Good Thursday

Look what I found! The same touch phone that I bought yesterday but in a Hello Kitty design. Why don’t they have those in Sweden?

Ooh, I almost forgot to mention that I’m off on a cruise today! Haha, quite a big thing to almost forget, but somehow I managed…Anyway, I know I quite recently (but not too recently) went on one of these crusises, but since my sister is taking her friends on one to celebrate her 20th birthday, and where the age limit is 23 years, mami decided to follow and therefore asked if I wanted to come. And how could I say no to some mother and daughter quality time? I mean, I bet mami and I will have some good time, even though I will be off dancing all night long, hehe.

Woops! I have to finish packing now. Ciao!

A good-bad day

Gaaah, I don’t know where to start, but I think it’s better to take the bad part first. So, as I mentioned last night, I had finally made up my mind about something. That something was which kind of netbook I wanted to buy. Either it would be a Sony Vaio or a HP (both pink of course); I decided to go for the HP one since I would save SEK 1500 but what happens then? Well, I went to the store (Expert) where one of the so called “experts” had told me on Monday that he’d save the last unit of the HP laptop for me to pick up today if I had made up my mind. However, he “accidentally” had saved a mobile phone for me instead! Sorry, but what the…!? I mean, if they can’t even manage to listen to their clients correctly, how on earth can the be called “experts” (as they are on the TV commercials!)

So, disappointedly I’m now without a netbook. Maybe it was destiny to be that way. Maybe I was always suppose to spend those extra SEK 1500 on buying the Sony Vaio instead of saving them for my future Louis Vuitton…But I didn‘t come home too empty handed, I did buy a new phone at least.

OK, moving on to funnier things, as in today’s lovely coffee date with Yasmine and Winnie. Because even though we unfortunately don’t meet very often, it’s always the same pleasure meeting those two.

Vampire night

I have finally reached a decision…which I will tell you about tomorrow, because the rest of the evening is going to consist of watching The Vampire Diaries. (I have got complains of not catching up quick enough .^^)

Makeup-less

This must have been the first or second time I went to the gym without any makeup. Putting it in that context, I might sound very shallow, but I’m not OK? Or maybe a little, but who isn’t? Haha. Anyway, my point was to say that it didn’t matter at all. I mean, if I wouldn’t be heading straight to school after my workouts, as I usually do, then I wouldn’t wear any makeup at all. Of course there can be cute guys (referring to the Austin Nichols body-double) or pretty girls that you really want to look your best in front of, but seriously, you are there to work out so that you can shine in front of them OUTSIDE the gym. Because when you are sweating from head to toe while grasping for air, you won’t look fabulous anyway. No one does - sadly.

P.S. don’t get all upset with me just because I wrote that last part. It’s just the truth.

While waiting for mami (and her credit card, haha) to get home, so we hopefully can go shopping together, I’ve put myself in a sinful position…

Where did spring go?

Two days ago it was 11°C and the sun was shining. I put on my aviator shades and took an afternoon walk with sis, because even though I was extremely tired after all the midnight ”chitchatting” at Jennifer’s the night before, you have to appreciate every glimpse of sunshine here in Sweden. It might be gone again before you have time to snap your fingers.

Which basically happened. Today it is snowing. :O

Today is one of those days I really miss Malaysia ;(

In my Easter egg

Just when it occurred to me that I’ve been shopping a bit too much lately (H&M is the bad guy!), and that I somehow have to put up some boundaries, I found a green top and a gorgeous necklace I just couldn’t resist…

BUT, I didn’t have to pay for anything myself this time. ^^ Like an angel from above, mami said that she would put them in my Easter egg instead of candy, since I barely touch that anyway. So now I’m sitting here loving Easter, haha.

The feeling of freedom

Thursday night. All assignments and accomplishments finally done and handed in. Behind me, I have a great day with no worries, only smiles. Ahead of me, I have one week of Easter break.

Yes, I think that was all the ingredients for making me feel truly free tonight. I love that feeling. ♥
