One down, five to go :D

I just came to realize that it’s exactly one week since we moved into this barrack. That means that it’s only five more weeks before we can move back into our apartment again! (We are renovating our apartment; therefore we can’t live there for six weeks.) Awesome! :D

However, I must say that I have started to become very accustomed to the new routines here. By that I mean that it’s not THAT bad to live here, although the couch is hard as a rock, the extreme darkness (due to the lack of big windows), bad isolation, and the most horrible fact - that the hot water can run out! No wait, the most, most awful thing is that there is only one mirror - and it’s not even a full length one! Oh my, I just realized how spoiled I sounded - “because those problems are obviously the biggest problems there are out there right now, right?” ^^

Now I’m going to tuck myself into bed and watch an episode of Gossip Girl. One of my favorite series. So…

Xoxo Sandra Girl :P

Tonight's bedtime outfit: mum's old I love NY tee, that I've stolen from her, and my sexy Dior specs. Tihi ^^

Dinner at Thai Village

As sis and I had plans to take mami out for some Thai food, we ended up at the really cozy Thai Village. The food was very good, but as always when I eat Asian food here in Sweden, I was dying of thirst afterwards. I don’t understand why they have to put so much salt in the food. :O

Anyway, mami seemed to enjoy the dinner and that was the most significant part of even going out tonight. Here are a pair of pictures from the evening.

Mother's day

The sun is shining and Mother’s day started with a hot cup of Milo and freshly baked baguettes (which Vicki was sweet enough to go and buy just this morning) with smögenröra on top of them. A very fatty breakfast indeed. But after all, Mother’s day is once a year and the most important part is of course to have mum enjoy her day - so a delicious breakfast is a must have. ^^

Later Vicki and I are taking mami out for dinner. But until then, it’s about time for me to stop ignoring my studies and actually get to work so that I can complete some of the tasks I have left before summer break. Unfortunately, all the other assignments and homework didn’t end when test week did, but it’s only 9 more days of school, so I will survive. ;P

Rain, rain, rain

Ever since this morning it has been raining back and forth, and I’m so sick and tired of it. Hopefully, the grey sky will turn baby blue tomorrow, so that mami will enjoy her day to the fullest. It’s not my mum’s birthday if you’re wondering, but as all Swedes reading this should know by now (even though I didn’t realize it until last week myself) is that it is Mother’s day tomorrow, and therefore you all should treat your mothers like queens (if you ain’t already - which I hope ^^).

I’m pre-preparing for being extra nice already, so if you excuse me, I’m going to go help my precious mum with the laundry now.

Golden China and shopping

At last I have no exams left on test week, and even though it didn’t go very well today, I am still happy about it all being over. This happiness resulted in a family lunch at the new restaurant Golden China, which is also known as one of Uppsala’s most “Chinese” Chinese restaurant by the food reviewers. Quite funny, huh? ^^ -But the thing is that here in Sweden, the restaurants tend to “Swedicize” all of their food, while Golden China hasn’t. So in other words, they have yummilicious food, with lots of flavor and chili, and besides this, they even have one of my favorite things to eat - bao!

After we had eaten till our stomachs were about to burst, we went shopping. And I must say, the three of us haven’t been shopping together in town like this since I can’t even remember, so it was so cozy. I love my family. ♥

And the things I bought. ^^

Golden China at Kungsängsgatan 23 in Uppsala is to be recommended by me.

Two shorts from H&M and a pair of killer heels from Tiamo, Scorett. LOVE is the correct word.

One more day

I have my ESS (Environmental Systems and Societies) examinations left for tomorrow morning, but after that, test week is finally over for my part. However, that “finally over” still seems a bit too far away for me at this point as I have 101 definitions (yes, I have counted!) in the subject to go through tonight…Lovely way to spend the night, huh?

After a rough week there is nothing better than rewarding yourself, so tonight I made a yummi fruit cocktail with vanilla custard. :)

Nine hours later

My initial plan for today was to study, and study, and study, since tomorrow (or a couple of minutes from now) is testweek. But somehow I ended up doing one hour of studying and nine of redecorating our apartment for the renovation. ^^ But on the other hand, if I wouldn't have helped mami and Vicki with it, we seriously wouldn't have been finished until now. Also, it would just have been pure cruelty to let them do all the dirty work while I'm sitting there doing nothing (as in studying, but you get my point ^^)...In other words, when your family needs help, you help them.

However, as there wasn't that much studying done this weekend at all for my part, I'll just have to pray that God will be with me tomorrow in the examination hall.

Moving out tomorrow

A said to be blog-free week is now officially broken, but for me that’s not such a big problem. The main problem is that we are hilariously enough moving into a barrack tomorrow, since the renovation of our apartments begins on Monday. Mami has just been down looking at our new accommodation, and she was rather optimistic by saying that it looked like a “cozy little summer house”, but I’m not so sure yet… I think I have to see it myself first. ^^ But that won’t be until the moving in of course, because I have way too much I have to go through up in the apartment today.

I hate when I only am given a limited amount of packing, because I always end up with a big decision agony over what to bring and what to leave. Yesterday, the packing of summer clothes into one suitcase lasted for three hours, so I wasn’t in bed until 12.30 a.m. You might think that sounds a bit extreme, but trust me - not for me. Especially not when we are staying in that stupid barrack for six weeks (if we don’t go to Malaysia, which we haven’t decided on yet :O), and for that reason I need a fair amount of clothes. Hehe. :)

Well, well, now I’m going to go back to my studies for a while. I promised myself to be very efficient today!

Passing my Chinese test in writing yesterday made me really happy :D

A blog-free week

What a week.

One week from now, the renovation of our apartment is finally taking place, and as test week is coming up the following day... I've been studying, studying, and studying this entire week and when I'm not, I'm either eating or sleeping. So as you might have realized, I'm not very good at updating my little blog. We'll see how long it will stay this way, but this ucoming week will probably be an entire blog-free week for me. ^^

Now I'm going to take a long hot shower to prevent my brain from losing way too many brain cells than what is considered healthy when studying. - But of course the IB doesn't take that into account...

Wednesday night - alone

How strange. It's the first time I am going to sleep completely alone in our apartment. It's not that I feel lonely or anything, it's just...a bit odd being home alone in the evening; especially when you're used to always having at least one person with you all the time.

Hmm, I think I better get used to this fact anyway. Beacuse if I move abroad after I've graduated next year, this will be my future student life. ^^

Webcam testing ^^

I just realized that I haven't been trying out my webcam, so I simply had to. Here is the result of a Sandra au naturelle.

Stupid immature kids...

One week after Valborg, and I'd almost convinced myself that it would not happen. Well, it did.

After a late day in school (5.10 p.m.) I was very eager to get home, especially as I was starving and really had to pee (a fact which I ignored as I wanted to ignore going to the school's toilets - and besides, it's only 20 min home). So I run out to my bike as fast as I can, but to my dismay it has disappeared!

Luckily, I realize that it just has blown over. So I start loading the basket with my 10 kg of homework, start to unlock the bike...And what do I see? A flat tire!!! Even considering the fact of how lucky I've been managing an entire week of glass shattered all over the roads, as a result of the young generation of teens playing pirates on Valborg (who else would seriously think of anything "that fun"?), I just couldn't help getting seriously pissed off!

The following 50 min was spent walking home with a rumbling belly and a bursting bladder...Stupid immature kids. -.-

Six more weeks ^^

On Friday it was Valborg with friends. Yesterday it was dinner at aunty Katherine's place. Today it was cleaning out the closets...And soon it is Monday again!? Gaaah! There are only six more weeks before summer holiday and the time goes by too quickly!

By the way, if you're wondering how Valborg is celebrated here in Uppsala (the Town to celebrate Valborg in), I will show you some pictures of the day.

We were blessed with 17 degrees and sunshine from time to time.

...et moi

Oh, yeah. I have to show you the end result of a day like this as well...(Since I am an honest person.)
