Afro dance at Friskis & Svettis

Aouch. My body hurts.

I know I can only blame myself for working out three days in a row, but sis and I have been wanting to try Friskis & Svettis’ Afro dance for quite a while, and since it’s a new thing, they only have it once a week. So we were like: why wait another week when we can go today?

Well well, even though my body aches all the way from my shoulders and down to my feet, Afro dancing was pretty fun. I didn’t get the adrenaline rush like when I’m running on the treadmill, but the hour just disappeared so I guess I still had a good time, haha. ^^ When I think about it, I think I’m going to try it again in the future actually

Forgetful me

Aargh, I’ve become so forgetful lately! I just saw (or jie jie told me the other day )that I have an expired 10-times swimming card for Centralbadet lying around…-.- Not even slightly OK, Sandra.

I just don’t get it. Me, who usually will make people shake their heads with my perfectionism for keeping everything organized with all of my lists, and my from time to time, OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) that makes some think I’m crazy, hehe.

But maybe I can still use it…^^ I payed quite much for it, so why not just try flirting with the reception guy and see if I get in…? God, I’m horrible, but it’s not such a bad idea actually! Haha! Anyway, I’m off to the gym now. And I am going to make sure that I always will remember where I put my gym card so that one won’t expire without my knowledge as well.

Spotless

Yesterday I had progress talks with Faf (Fredrik - but we call him Faf) and he was almost “concerned” about my abcence from class…^^

No black = 0.00% absence

What can I say. I’m just extremely good at attending class. No secrets, I promise. ♥

Take the bus

Out of laziness to wait for the bus, I decided that I instead would take the bike to the gym. Good Lord, that was the most horrifying biking experience I’ve had in ages!

People think that Halloween is scary, but I know something that is so much more scary than that. - Biking in Sweden when it’s a lot of snow outside. I must have been so blessed today since I didn’t get injured. So please people, why put yourself in danger like that? Take the bus.

What if they would have had Hello Kitty buses in Uppsala...Then I would always take the bus, haha. ♥

At the gym

I never thought I would say this, but I had so much fun at the gym today! M showed me how to use a lot of different machines; in a way, you could almost say that she was my own mini-version of a personal trainer. So kind of her. ♥

Although we couldn’t stay very long (50 min) since we had a class afterwards, it was enough for me to give my stomach, chicken arms and legs a workout. I mean, now the cross trainer and I are like best buddies. (Meaning that I now know why Oprah uses that one every morning, haha).

Oh, and since I was such a good girl going to the gym, I just had to give myself a reward…hihi.

I usually don't eat dinners like these, but to be honest: I would be able to live on a diet with mango chicken skewers, Greek bread and vegetables, haha...

Friday's sin.

Busy busy

I don’t think I could have been more efficient than what I have been this whole week. Ever since Monday, I’ve been booked from morning to night with everything from info meetings to open house tasks, and on top of that, homework. Puuh, I must say that I am tired. But, I am still going to the gym today with M.

Yesterday I went to buy my first ever gym card at Friskis & Svettis, so I am going. No excuses. I need a dose of sweat! Haha…

Time to study

What’s up with Sundays, or maybe it’s Mondays? Either way, I never seem to get any sleep the night between those two days and it’s so frustrating not to know why. Luckily, school wasn’t as heavy as it usually can be on Mondays. You know, when you’re mind still wants to believe it’s weekend and not a new week again.

Nevertheless, there are still a lot of home studies that need to be done, so it’s just time for me to start working.

Today’s dress-for-success: blue long sleeved shirt from KappAhl, black jeans leggins from ZOUL, leopard belt from Gina Tricot, red scarf from Malaysia.

Gross

Yuck, I still get chills thinking about last night’s bus trip home from auntie Katherine in which I had to experience the yuckiness of a very drunk guy throwing up at the whole passenger seat in front of him. For Christ sakes, if you can’t hold the alcohol you drink - don’t drink! Especially not when you know that you might put other people through a lot of awfulness by taking the bus home in half unconscious condition!

So disgusting.

At auntie Katherine

Hello!

Finally I'm finished with all of my homework for today, so now it's time to relax and just enjoy life. And that is something I am really good at, haha.

I must say that it is really cozy being back at auntie Katherine's place. Mami has known her ever since she moved to Sweden (over 20 years ago), so it's a small form of tradition for our families to have Saturday dinners together from time to time. But ever since before last summer, we haven't been to her place, so it's just really nice to be here again. :)

Okidoki, now I'm going to eat an orange in order to get my daily dose of vitamin C and after that just...relax! Have a great evening :D

Me, right now

Guilty conscious

My guilty conscious of not feeding my little blog struck this morning. I wonder if that’s just me or if other bloggers get the same feeling. I guess (or rather know) that I feel sorry for my poor little blog simply because I don’t always have the time to blog as often as I would like to. I mean, I love to blog, but I also have a life. Which doesn’t always go along with this passion, and unfortunately that’s the case.

Anyway, today we’re invited over for dinner at auntie Katherine, so I’ll probably be gone the whole afternoon/evening. But in between the bunch of homework I’m taking with me, (the first week of school, and a bunch of homework? - Yes, life sucks sometimes. :/) I might drop by again.

First day

I survived the first day of school; to be honest, it wasn’t that bad. Of course it started off a bit slow (as it always does after a break), but my cute friends quite quickly made the day better. Especially one friends in particular, Lewar.

That little lady had brought two presents to me from her Christmas trip to London. The first one was New Moon and the second was an übercute set of bracelets. À la Hello Kitty of course. ♥

Missions completed

So, last day of break. ^^

I don’t feel like going over how quick the days have gone away, and you probably don’t want to hear about it either, haha. However, I will tell you that I am not too sad about today being my last day of freedom anyway. Why? Because I had a list.

That was my list of all the important things I had (and wanted) to get done over the past three weeks and as you can see, the squares are all checked. Or all squares except the one saying “Watch True Blood”. But there’s plenty of time for that later, I guess. True Blood will always be there, haha.

Hot chocolate at Wayne's Coffee

The day continued as good as it started, and I finally got my hot chocolate with marshmallows at Wayne’s Coffee. It was really fun meeting M again and we had a lot to catch up on. It is quite funny that I haven’t known her for that long, but that we still get along so well together. But I’m glad we do. She’s a super nice girl. ♥

My Oh-So-Good hot chocolate with marshmallows. I loved the fact that they were colored...so cute :D

We have three Wayne's Coffee shops in town. This one was the only one I hadn't been to, but now I have!

Good start

Good morning little blog!

Just started the day of with a lovely Sunday breakfast with the family. So good to eat toast again after these three (?) “toast less” weekends. In our family toast is the traditional weekend breakfast; that’s just the way it is, haha.

Enough about toast now. Instead, I want to put the focus on my dear little friend Maria that turns 18 today. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to see her until two days from now, but she should now (if she reads this) that I wish her an awesome birthday. As soon as I’m 18, we’re out partying big time. She just has to wait like…7½ months or so…^^

Well, I better start getting ready. I am meeting M. (another Maria) in town for coffee in about one and a half hour, and I’m not even dressed! Ciao!

Love this picture of Maria and me :D

An unsmart decision

I did get some rather nice photos from going for a walk today. But other than that, it was rather stupid of me to go out at all…Here is a little clip from it.

As in before the camera battery died, and I almost ran a marathon to get home so I could defrost my fingers…(Btw, sorry that the picture is wrongly turned...somehow I couldn't rotate it :S)

Under the duvet

If mami and Vicki would’t be coming home soon, I would continue to lie in bed snoozing the whole day I think. Under the duvet is the only place where my hands aren’t ice-cold I’ve figured. Under the duvet is also the place where I don’t have to think about anything. Especially not school that starts next Tuesday.

Aaaw, wouldn’t life be great if we just slept through the whole winter like bears, and didn’t wake up until May? Or not May. In May I have exams, so let’s say June instead. Mmm…that would be great.

Cake and movies :D

No wonder people die when it’s this cold outside. It has been -22°C the whole day and even though I’ve been inside, I’ve been shattering teeth. On the other hand, me and sis have had a pretty good time, eating Belgian chocolate cakes and watching movies like Slumdog Millionaire (I loved that one) and Catch that kid (only because Kristen Stewart was in it, haha). But I guess that’s what you do when it’s too freaking cold to go outside, right? Haha…^^

Did it taste as good as it looks? - Oh yes, it did! Always remember to have a good start for...

...a good movie. Can you believe that they're a couple for real? So cute :)

Does she look like she did in Twilight and New Moon? Haha, here she's only 15...

Tea-time

Some people are tea while others are coffee. I’ve never considered myself as a tea-girl, if you cancel out the vast amounts of Chinese tea I drink during my two months in Malaysia every summer (it washes down all the oil they say; besides, I love Chinese tea!). Anyhow, my main point was that during the past few weeks I’ve been drinking a lot of tea. Why, I have no idea. Maybe it’s because it’s so damn cold outside and a cup of tea keeps my hands warm?

- Yeah, I think that’s what started it. Haha, now I’m even trying out new flavors instead of the oldies Earl Grey and Lemon tea! So maybe, just maybe, I am becoming one of those tea-girls after all…? ^^

This morning I tried the new yummi combination of apple, cinnamon & raisin :)

Right now I'm sitting reading Stephenie Meyer's Eclipse. Can't stop. It's exciting, exciting! :D

Brainstorming ideas

This morning I started off rather early by getting up at 8 a.m. I know it sounds a bit insane since I have holidays, but as I wrote last night, I had some things to think about.

At this point I have some ideas on paper, but they are only ideas. For any of them to become something at all I have to get down to some research. Which I will do later. Brainstorming is fun but it will also make you tired. ^^

Totally irrelevant, but look what I found on my computer...
A picture of me and Shill the first week of school Aug 2009 :D

Added:
Ooops, I forgot to tell you what the brainstorming thing was for. It's choosing topic for my very important Extended Essay, which I will write over summer.

Victoria Secret fashion show 2009

Just watched 2009’s dose of Victoria Secret fashion show, and besides envying their unbelievable super trimmed bodies that comes with never-ending legs, I picked out some of my favourite pieces I wouldn’t mind having in my drawers…Hehe ;)

I’ve never thought you should mix red and violet, but this looks lovely :)

Something to keep in mind for Beach 2010? ^^

Green - one of my favourite colors (after pink of course :P).

Alessandra Ambrosio - number one beauty in the whole show.

Alright, that's it for tonight. Tomorrow I have a long day of brainstorming to do so I need to get some rest. Nights! :)

Snowing again

Sometimes it can rain the whole day here in Sweden. It would be small drops dripping down from the grey sky morning to night and everyone just hates that kind of weather. However, I’m not writing this because it has been raining. But because it has been snowing non-stop since yesterday morning!

I don’t know. I guess it just feels so weird having this much snow at this time of year where I live.

New year, new plans?

Hello!

I don’t know if it has to do with that it’s the first day of 2010, but I’ve just got this crazy idea of no longer studying in China after I’ve graduated. Instead, I’m considering…Taiwan!

I’ve never been there; the same goes for China so I can’t say I would like it better. It’s also smaller than China, much smaller when I think about it, and it has earthquakes that would scare me to death. However, considering that it’s an island, has lots of people living there, and that my Godfather goes there from time to time (he’s from Taiwan) makes this opting weigh slightly heavier…

Not to forget that the Taiwanese are totally in love with Hello Kitty; they even have a Hello Kitty cafe! THAT is something worth considering according to Sandra :D

I want to go to Taipei at this moment! Everything is just so me :P
